SUNDAY OCT 27 “WALK FOR ADDICTION”
10:30am registration at UAlbany’s Collins Circle (between University Hall & new Business Building). The University said they will leave the gates up at the Visitor Lots at Collins Circle for student and community attendees.
$5pp suggested donation, includes t-shirt while supplies last. Proceeds benefit Hope House and Senior Hope. Special thanks to the Walk Sponsors including: Albany ENT, Rosenblum Development, NY Life, UAlbany Counseling Center, Middle Earth Peer Counseling, Earthtones, ATV, APO, UAlbany MMA, UA Alive, UAlbany Hillel, L’chaim Student Group and the JSAM (Jewish Social Action Month) of UJA of NY.
11am Walk begins around the PurplePath – sidewalk that runs around the perimeter of campus, over 3 miles total. Please note that it will be chilly (in the 50’s) and that we are not able to provide drinks or refreshments. We’ll keep it quick, no program or speeches, just registration and a walk together.
Why #walk4addiction? It symbolizes the long road of #recovery: one step at a time, no #shortcuts, helps to be with others on journey with you.
This should be done by 12pm, before Hillel’s Trip to Liberty Ridge Farm (which meets at Hillel Office at 12:45pm) and well before the 4pm start of the Torah Dedication in Saratoga.
Thanks to all for participating!!
