Thanks to the long extended weekend with Rosh Hashanah falling on Monday and Tuesday this year, most students will be headed home to celebrate the holiday with family, especially since UAlbany gives off for most of the two-day Jewish New Year holiday.
But not everyone is able to get away, and not everyone has places to go, so we will be hosting Rosh Hashanah services here at Shabbos House for UAlbany students and faculty and area community who wish to join us. As usual there’s no charge for the prayer services and holiday meals but contributions by parents, alumni and friends make it possible.
See below for the Rosh Hashanah 2016 schedule, or click here for octoberjewishholidaysualbany2016 a handy half-page PDF calendar of all the October Jewish Holidays celebrations, prayers, meals and events at Shabbos House.
