Click here Holidays2014UACalendar for a handy PDF one-page Calendar of all the Tishrei Jewish Holiday events, from Rosh Hashanah through Simchas Torah!
Remember, there’s no charge, no need for tickets or reservations (though RSVPs can helpful for us to best prepare), no dress-code or anything like that. This is a student-friendly welcoming service and you can come for the whole thing, or for select parts. For Rosh Hashanah if you come at 12pm or so, you get the very important holiday Mitzvah of Shofar and some prayers, plus a festive holiday lunch and you don’t have to start at 9:30am.
While we primarily serve UAlbany students, area college students and graduate students, faculty, neighbors and members of the community are very welcome. There’s no charge for prayers or holiday meals, but community members often contribute to help defray the cost.

During the day of Yom-Kippur the services are divided between traditional and egalitarian services (see above for Hillel organized egalitarian service, discussion and yoga).
Yom-Kippur Services are co-sponsored and arranged by UAlbany Hillel and Shabbos House Chabad and held in the Campus Center. This year, with Yom-Kippur falling on Shabbat, the Pre-fast and Break-fast will be sponsored by UAlbany Hillel at the Campus Center.
In 2014, once again, the University at Albany is closed for nearly all of Rosh Hashanah and for Yom-Kippur so there should be no class conflicts as many students have to deal with at other Universities.
