1976-2016 marks 40 years since one of the most daring and successful hostage rescue raids ever – the IDF’s Operation Thunderbolt at Entebbe, on July 4th 1976. Several books and movies have been written about this legendary rescue: “90 Minutes at Entebbe”, “Operation Thunderbolt”, “Victory at Entebbe” and “Raid on Entebbe.” For background on the story see “Operation Entebbe” on Wikipedia.
