A. Our oldest daughter Chaya Mushka (or as we call her Mushky) is named after the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s wife who passed away in 1988. “Chaya” is Hebrew for “Life”, and “Mushka” is a “Spice” (probably musk?) (Not to be confused with the Spice Girls). In short: Spice of Life. Since Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka’s passing in 1988, you’ll find many Chabad girls (and by now, women, too) named Chaya or Mushky or Mussie or some variation thereof.
