Some time ago I was traveling the Thruway and stopped off at a rest-stop. As I walked out of the restroom I noticed my reflection in the mirror. It took me by surprise, since I appeared taller and slimmer, although generally I am certainly not the slimmest tallest guy around.
Then I realized that this mirror was different than the rest of the mirrors on the restroom wall. It was over the slightly lower handicapped sink, and therefore affixed at an angle. The few degrees of that angle made me appear taller and slimmer as I passed by.
What a difference a few degrees can make! Just a slightly different angle can make a huge difference in how we perceive ourselves. Think about how valuable and beneficial such a shift in perspective can be.
